教练组连续找到了七位天赋优异的黑人球员，这些球员性情悬殊，各有所长。在履历了一次热血对决以后，黑白球员很快孤芳自赏，投入到哈金斯教练严酷的练习中去。球员偶然的违规行为跟篮球理念的区分让教练与球员们逐步长大着……
终究迎来了赛季起头的时辰。德州西军队一路凯歌，面临种族主义者的暴力威胁、部分言论的轻视，哈金斯教练决议和他的黑人球员们一路冲向名誉之路的极点……
