简 介
20世纪60年月，在自在开放的大情况下，陈腐的爱尔兰仍连结着呆板和守旧的风气。在这里，一切被以为出错的女孩都要被送入玛德莲女子学院接管感导，而期待他们的不是微风细雨，而是无尽的黑暗与失望。
玛格丽特（Anne-Marie Duff 饰）在家属婚礼上被堂兄奸污，这件事在婚礼现场口耳相传，她的委屈并未获得蔓延，反而被作为“不洁的女孩”送走；活跃标致的伯纳黛特（Nora-Jane Noone 饰）是男孩们追逐的工具，她为了自己的“轻佻”支出了价格；罗丝（Dorothy Duffy 饰）未婚先孕，为了所谓的前途被迫放弃了自己的孩子。
