简 介
1963年，密西西比州的民权活动魁首麦格艾维斯，在自家的车道上被谋杀，凶手是白人种族主义者布莱恩柏克伍斯，可是他却无罪开释，清闲法外30年，正义在经过30年以后才出现一线曙光，这能否会太晚了呢？昔时麦格被谋杀后，所以有力的证据都指出布莱恩是凶手，可是全由白人组成的陪审团二度无罪开释他。30年后，一位年轻的地方检察官巴比，决议重新审理这个看人以毫无胜算的案子，他在麦格遗孀玛丽艾维斯的帮助下，收集了充足的新证据后，对凶手停止第三次的起诉，最初终究使正义蔓延。
