简 介
贝琳达（简·怀曼 Jane Wyman 饰）是诞生在贫苦家庭当中的农家女，天生又聋又哑，落空了一切和外界交换的路子。贝琳达的母亲在生她的时辰由于难产而归天了，父亲是以将全数的义务都推辞到了无辜的贝琳达身上，对她漠不关心。幸亏还有一位善良的罗伯特医生（刘·艾尔斯 Lew Ayres 饰），他很是怜悯贝琳达的遭受，热情的教给了她很多她的父亲历来不会教给她的人闹事理。在罗伯特的帮助下，贝琳达渐渐晓得了若何与人交往。
一个地痞看上了贝琳达美丽的表面，将她玷污了，不但如此，贝琳达还怀上了地痞的孩子，可是大家都道这个孩子是罗伯特医生的。
