简 介
克拉克盖博在刚出道时跟性感女星简哈露合演的《莫街谋杀案》是他的成名作。二十年后由他自己重演同一脚色，女配角则换上热情的艾娃加德纳和冷艳的格雷斯．凯利。这个重拍版本将故事布景从东南亚的橡树林改到非洲大陆，描写探险队员维多爱上歌舞女郎艾洛丝，敏捷打得炽热。但当人类妹家唐纳带着他的妻子琳达出现时，维多却把恋爱方针转向琳达，形成了无可挽回的三角悲剧。
本片并不是导演约翰．福特的代表作，但他处置这个布满田野风味的三角恋爱故事仍然虎虎生风，不乏戏剧性，而且放置了大量的狞猎行动和大自然风景来衬托恋爱抵触，结果不错。
