简 介
从小被猩猩养大的乔治（布兰登·费舍 Brendan Fraser饰）一向生活在茂盛的森林中，逐步成了森林之王。白人少女乌苏拉（莱斯利·曼恩 Leslie Mann饰）与未婚夫莱尔（托马斯·哈登·丘奇 Thomas Haden Church饰）来到非洲森林中探险。但是两人忽然遭受狮子的攻击，危机时辰，无私的男友居然扔下乌苏拉单独逃生。幸亏乔治实时将她救下，将她带到森林的树屋中。在这里，两人度过了一段美猎奇妙的森林时光，纯真善良的乔治也赢得了乌苏拉的芳心。但是死心不改的莱尔竟开枪射伤了乔治，甚至偕同几个盗猎者要抓乔治的猩猩朋友去卖钱。
由迪斯尼公司于1997年推出的卖座笑剧电影《森林泰山》，按照美国六、七十年月同名电视卡通系列片改编而成。真人版的《森林泰山》，气概节奏及人物塑造照旧连结着原卡通片的诙谐夸张，奇妙地保存了动画气概。本片在昔时的全球票房支出高达一亿七万万美圆，同时也捧红了“森林之王”布兰登·费舍，使他一跃跻身为好莱坞当红小生的行列。
