简 介
杰克（杰克·莱蒙 Jack Lemmon 饰）和妻子贝蒂（奥林匹亚·杜卡基斯 Olympia Dukakis 饰）成婚已经几十年之久了，在这几十年里，贝蒂把杰克照顾的非常的周到，杰克也早已经习惯了被妻子放置得层次清楚的生活。但是意外发生了，一天，贝蒂由于突发心脏病而住进了医院，得知此消息，在外打拼的孩子们纷纷回到了怙恃的身旁。
贝蒂希望可以向杰克隐瞒自己的病情，可是夫妻两人之间的默契令杰克还是晓得了真相。落空了贝蒂的照顾，杰克的生活堕入了一片紊乱当中，此时大儿子琼恩（特德·丹森 Ted Danson 饰）决议放动手头的工作，留在父亲身旁帮助父亲的生活重新步入正轨。
