简 介
本片是奥斯卡奖得主比利鲍伯松顿，继【弹簧刀】后，第二度自编、自导自演的电影。论述克劳（比利鲍伯松顿饰演）和他太太露比（罗拉邓饰演）这对欢乐朋友的故事。他们很是恩爱，但也常吵闹不休，似乎以相互熬煎危险，来抵偿相互的怨怼。当克劳的叔叔海索被捕入狱的消息传来，他们回到小岩城的故乡，想助他落井下石。这庞大的家属重聚以后，三姑六婆也到齐，一切料想不到的事都能够发生……。
风趣的是，本片剧中人物的脚色关系纠葛复杂，但戏外演员之间的友谊关系，也不惶多让。如现实生活中，巨星约翰屈伏塔的演员妻子凯莉普莱丝登（【征服情海】）这回饰演“露比”（罗拉邓饰演）的风骚姊姊 “玫瑰”，片中“玫瑰”由因而“露比”老公“克劳”的前女友，使得每次“玫瑰”一出现，“露比”就要醋劲大发，慎防老公与老姊旧情复燃；老牌影星黛安赖德饰演“露比”絮聒的妈妈“珠儿”，实在黛安赖德就是罗拉邓的亲生妈妈，这对母女档演员，这回是继【我心狂野】【豪情玫瑰】后，再度于银幕上饰演母女。
至于洁美李寇蒂丝〔【魔鬼大帝】【月光光心慌慌】〕和影坛帅哥班艾佛列克〔【珍珠港】【天下末日】〕，则饰演在小岩城开业的夫妻档律师，片中洁美李的大女人强悍，对照于班艾佛列克的小汉子窝囊，使人不由联想起昔时曾在小岩城执业的另一对夫妻档律师──希拉蕊与小柯。
