简 介
故事发生在1956年的美国，工人查理（艾德·哈里斯 Ed Harris 饰）爱上了女乐帕奇（杰西卡·兰格 Jessica Lange 饰），可是此时的帕奇已经嫁为人妻，她拒绝了查理的追求。未几，帕奇的婚姻堕入了窘境，和丈夫格兰德（James Staley 饰）仳离后，帕奇顺理成章地和查理在一路了。
1958年，查理应召参军，身怀六甲的帕奇决议放弃奇迹，跟随丈夫的脚步。但是，一会儿落空了生活的重心，帕奇堕入了烦闷当中，她和查理之间的关系也降到了冰点。以后，孩子出世，帕奇重新回到了歌坛，而且大获成功。可是，和奇迹上的顺风逆水份歧，帕奇和查理之间的恋爱却再也不能回到畴前，越来越自大的查理甚至脱手打了帕奇。
