简 介

退役甲士曼途经紫檀镇，不意因一路强横案牵扯其中。被害人是一位白人女子，为了袒护自己与他人私通，便谎称被黑人强奸，激起紫檀镇白人对黑人的敌视。冤仇的火种一点即燃，而且愈烧愈烈，很多原本就轻视黑人的白人乘隙草菅人命，就连妇女和儿童也不放过。曼为了拯救紫檀镇的黑人，不惜牺牲人命帮助他们逃离死地。 本片情节盘曲，严重，充实展现 了美国人遭到轻视和被肆意践踏的历史状态。
