简 介
故事发生在16世纪的法国农村，马丁（伯纳德-皮亚里·唐纳狄欧 Bernard-Pierre Donnadieu 饰）是一个成天无所作为游手好闲的汉子，有一天，他忽然抛弃了妻子贝特朗德（娜塔莉·贝伊 Nathalie Baye 饰）和两个心爱的孩子，就此着落不明。
一晃眼7年曩昔，马丁既没有出现过，贝特朗德亦没有收到他的死讯。和他的忽然失落一样，一天，马丁又再度现身了。马丁告诉贝特朗德，这些年来他一向在帮助法国国王南征北伐，而让贝特朗德感应不成思议的是，马丁的行为举止恍如变了一小我似的，文质彬彬又勤劳肯干。虽然村里的人都以为这个马丁是个冒牌货，但贝特朗德却深信，这就是她七年前失落的丈夫。
