简 介
二战事后，罗马同很多城市一样，充溢失业和贫苦，人们经常为一个工作机遇争得头破血流。已失业多时的里奇（Lamberto Maggiorani）费劲含辛茹苦获得一份海报张贴的工作后，却为这份工作需要一辆自行车犯愁，为了今后的日子好过，他用妻子的嫁妆--床单从换回已经当掉的自行车，不想，他的自行车在上班第一天就被盗。里奇同儿子布鲁诺（Enzo Staiola）寻遍罗马街头巷尾，也没能找到他赖以活命的自行车，目睹无期望的日子又要来临，里奇决议以眼还眼，可是他的命运却没有此外小偷好。
