1989年上映，改编自香江名笔李碧华的同名小说的《潘金莲之前世今》在小心延续了该作妖艳诡异又不乏深邃犀利风格的同时，不可避免加入了港片诸多商业元素。但在注重娱乐性的同时，也将焦点放在了对人性以及女性细腻心理的探索上。镜头语言丰富，画面亦幻亦真，两个不同时空的影像交织，使信息的传达更富感性色彩。值得一看。
