《阴儿房第4章：锁命亡灵》不但将带来可骇加倍的全新故事，制片范围亦更较以往周全升级，导演受访时暗示：「开拍前我甚至派殊效师至美国费城一座有两百年历史的烧毁牢狱考查，我相信惟有体验过那种榨取黑暗且氛围极难承受的情况，我们才能实在显现出软禁那种最骇人的场景。」
故事报告，灵媒爱丽丝在一次偶然的案件观察中，却意外将他带回最不愿面临的过往，更被迫面临心里最惧怕的奥秘，「恐惧是回家唯一的路?」。她将被迫「回家」面临心里深处最恐惧的黑暗阴影。
在《阴儿房》系列饰演灵媒的琳雪伊无疑是贯串电影的灵魂脚色，全新作品《阴儿房第4章：锁命亡灵》中将揭穿更多关于她的布景论述，琳雪伊暗示：「此次的故事会把很多大师的疑问都诠释清楚，例如为何爱丽丝能成为与灵界相同的脚色，以及更多在这类『天赋』下她所承受的磨难与不愿面临的进程，我相信粉丝将会更能同理与对这个脚色感应更深的共鸣。」
