◎简　　介　

　　1949年的开罗。考古学家、战争时曾担任牧师的梅林（斯特兰?斯卡斯加德 Stellan Skarsg?rd 饰）接到一份工作，将前往肯尼亚介入挖掘一座五世纪的教堂，拜托人领会梅林在圣神像范畴的特长，要求他获得一个苏美尔气概的恶魔像。梅林来到肯尼亚，与教廷派来的神父会合，才得知教廷对这座五世纪的教堂一无所知，而这座教堂自己布满了疑点。在挖掘队医生莎拉（伊沙贝拉?斯科鲁普科 Izabella Scorupco 饰）等人的先容下，梅林发现全部挖掘进程也布满诡异现象，考古学家贝松在挖掘中发狂，而贝松画出的图画，清楚与梅林看到的恶魔像千篇一概。同时，挖掘营地的孩子出现了被“恶魔触碰”的状态，满身抽搐却能操纵土狼。梅林等人似乎在恶魔的诅咒中越陷越深……
