　　2002年，阿富汗出租车司机迪拉瓦被控告介入可骇行动，向美军发射火箭导弹，而被拘系押入Bagram空军基地。数往后军方公布迪拉瓦自杀身亡，但死者身上遍及伤痕，腿部伤势特别严重，明显死前遭到残暴凌虐。
　　本片导演以迪拉瓦事务为切入点，经过大量材料、照片和采访，揭穿了美国军队在阿富汗占据区甚至伊拉克、关塔那摩等地犯下的各种罪行。并进一步对美国政府、CIA和军队为获得军工作报所采纳的非人性审判办法的需要性停止会商。
　　本片获2008年奥斯卡最好记载片奖。
