　　约翰是一个奇迹逐步走下坡的山路自行车选手，沮丧的他回到加州的故乡，没想到噩梦却就此展开！他成为持续谋杀案的怀疑犯，由于小镇上出现可疑的滑行痕迹。究竟上实在的凶手是一条超级巨蟒，它的鳞片比盔甲还坚固，视力范围是一般蛇的9倍，最骇人的是有如无底洞的胃。这是由遗传学家鲁道夫博士研讨出的基因变种生物，目标是要破坏美国中部游击队的兵器。而此计画后来却被CIA抢走而被迫停止，鲁道夫博士为了报复而将巨蟒放生到小镇上停止实验，但是巨蟒却立即酿成连博士自己也没法控制的吃人魔。约翰为了洗刷委屈必须与巨蟒匹敌，他能否能成功击败这个可骇的怪物，或是成为另一块俎上肉？
