简　　介

　　故事发生的时候是一九二一年，一支探险队在埃及发现了古埃及王子因霍特的木乃伊，因霍特由于遭到法老的诅咒，因此被作为祭品而活生坑葬。与此同时，在因霍特的泉台中，也发现了特霍斯的奥秘卷轴，听说这类卷轴可以重新赋予死去的人以生命。一天早晨，探险队中得一位年轻队员无意中高声朗诵了这份卷轴，然后忽然倡议狂来，他忽然意想到他的这类行为将把因霍特酿成活人。十年以后，这个木乃伊假扮为一个现代埃及人，试图重新与他落空的爱人团圆。他的爱人也是一位绮年玉貌的再生的古埃及公主。
幕后花絮
这是二十世纪三十年月的一部典范可骇片，那时有声片对于人们来说仍然是新奇的，电影建造人也在不竭地实验各类崭新的讲故事的方式，影象气概经常遭到德国表示主义的深入影响。究竟上，《木乃伊》的导演卡尔·弗莱伊德在三十年月还导演了别的一部典范电影《疯狂的爱》。卡尔·弗莱伊德已经担任过弗里茨·朗的典范科幻电影《大都会》的摄影师也曾担任过F·W·瑁瑙的一些电影的摄影师和美工师。《木乃伊》明显欠下典范可骇片《德拉库拉》一笔债。在本片中，饰演配角的是很是有才华的演员波利斯·卡诺夫，他把木乃伊霍特演得活灵活现，而木乃伊的情人古埃及公主蔷的饰演者泽塔·琼是一位著名的舞台演员，她有一张布满异国情调的面孔，也给本片增色很多。
