◎简　　介　

　　奥赛罗（奥逊·威尔斯 Orson Welles 饰）生来高峻威武，是一员猛将。某日，他碰见了元老的女儿苔丝狄蒙娜（Suzanne Cloutier 饰），一见钟情的两人敏捷坠入了爱河。但是，庞大的年龄差异让两人的恋爱遭到了众人的激烈否决，亲事亦指日可待，两个相爱的人决议私定毕生。
　　凶险狡猾的伊阿古（Micheál MacLiammóir 饰）将风头正劲的奥赛罗视为眼中钉，诡计除之尔后快。在向元老告发的诡计失利以后，伊阿古起头教唆奥赛罗和苔丝狄蒙娜之间的豪情，他捏造了副将凯斯奥（Michael Laurence 饰）和苔丝狄蒙娜之间的定情信物，使得奥赛罗信以为真。愤慨的奥赛罗将苔丝狄蒙娜掐死，却在以后得知了全部事务的真相，悲痛和懊悔当中，奥赛罗挑选了灭亡。
