　　全球唯一的LGBT政黨在菲律賓，Ladlad黨想藉由從政為在地LGBT族群發聲，於2010年落敗後，他們企圖在2013年捲土重來，其中一位參選代表是跨性別女候選人班姆姿，繼上回競選失利後，她重新思考战略以獲得更多民眾支持，協同充滿熱忱與鬥志的競選團隊踏遍全國各大都会和小鎮，並與基督教牧師候選人对抗，但為了贏得選舉而作出的政策讓步，真的能令他們入主國會嗎？
　　台裔美籍導演江松長和美國導演強尼賽門斯配合聚焦於菲律賓的Ladlad黨歷經三年的競選過程，他們認為在同性婚姻和領養權於西歐及北美正当化的現今，還有許多地區仍存在對LGBT族群的政治壓迫、仇視與暴力，菲律賓境內的同道早已廣被接納，卻仍遭到傳統與宗教的反對，本片展現當地LGBT族群的自我認同與爭取平權。
