　　旅居巴黎的澳洲女性導演喬瑟芬·馬克拉斯首部編導長片作品。同時身為製片的她，自己的公寓與兒子都成為片中要角，花了兩年半才完成影片，過程沒人拿到酬勞。因為沒有資金起用明星，讓首度擔綱女主角的艾蜜莉皮波尼爾有機會大展驚人演技。全片優雅地平衡人性中的光與影，悲而不傷，時時閃現豁達幽默的智慧光芒。
